When I first heard about argan oil, I thought to myself: “Yeap, right, another miracle ingredient” and was very skeptical about it. However, I decided to give it a try and used this new oil every evening for about a month. I have to say it worked for me. The aspect of my skin improved, it looked more bright and soft.

I don’t have many wrinkles but they weren’t as visible as before so I concluded that this precious argan oil is effective and I continued to use it. There are multiple ways to include it in your daily routine: you may either add a few drops to the usual face cream or use it alone or even create an anti-aging serum such as the one below which includes many natural ingredients extremely beneficial for the skin.

To prepare it, I have added some prickly pear seed oil which also comes from Morocco just like its more famous brother, argan. The skin absorbs it real fast and has a deep nourishing effect. It brings back the elasticity of the epidermis and is a great contributor to the anti-aging process.

Another ingredient, which you probably already know by now, is coconut oil. I believe that at least 70% of the homemade cosmetics recipes include it. And this is because it really has a lot of benefits for the skin and hair.

To make the serum smell nice so I’ll use it with pleasure, I added some Geranium essential oil (also good for fighting against skin imperfections such as acne or dermatitis). And the last ingredient is Vitamin E oil, a great nutrient for skin.

This recipe is very easy to prepare and it is ready in about five minutes.

Anti-Aging Argan Oil Serum

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup argan oil
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon prickly pear seed oil
  • 15 drops Geranium essential oil
  • 1 teaspoon Vitamin E oil

Notes

Use a small whisker to mix all the ingredients.
Transfer in a glass spray bottle and use in the morning after your cleansing routine, and in the evening after removing your make-up.
Keep the serum in a cool place, away from humidity or extreme temperatures. The quantity is enough for two or three months use, but don’t keep it more than six months since the oils in its composition may go rancid.
Make sure that the bottle you use is clean to keep away any unwanted bacteria. It would be a good idea to sterilize it first. Also, try to use organic ingredients from a trusted source so you can be certain that you benefit from all the precious properties these oils have
